Pediatric Eye Examination
According to the American Optometric Association (AOA)
children should have their eyes examined at 6 months, 3
years, prior to beginning school, and then at least every
2 years following. Comprehensive pediatric eye
examinations are critical to assess a child's vision, eye
coordination, eye focusing, depth perception and overall
ocular health. Early detection of vision changes is KEY
for a child's development as it can prevent vision related
difficulties in learning and permanent vision changes.
